Fundamentals of Blogging (Part 3): How to Promote Your Blog?

Ok, now that know how to ""Create Your Own Blog & To Start Blogging" and also "How To Blog Safely",
let's see what else you can do about your blog. :)
Once you have started blogging, you will realise that you like the idea of people reading your blog. Yes, it is nice and exciting to have
people read what you write and especially leave behind some comments. But first of all, people must know that your blog exists. People must know where to find it.
There are many ways to promote and publicise your blog, but one of the fastest and easiest way is to submit your blog to as many blog directory as possible. Here are some of the most well-known and widely used blog directories:
Submitting your blog to a blog directory is only one of the methods to promote your blog. It is easy, fast and effective. All you have to do is to go to those blog directories above and submit your blog url with a short description of what your blog is about. Then post a link ("reciprocal link") on your blog back to the necessary directory and most probably your blog will be accepted and listed.
In the future, I will recommend other methods of promoting and publicising your blog. Enjoy :)
ps. If your blog is only meant for your own personal enjoyment and maybe those of your friends, then it is not necessary to promote it.

Eventhough a blog is just like a personal diary. But, please be aware that as it might be open to the public, possibility of it being read online by millions of people worldwide is very high.
So, if you want to share your thoughts and opinions with others, just like in real life, be prepared for the reactions of those who might support or oppose them. Learn to protect yourself instead of putting yourself in a vulnerable position that is open to attacks and possibly instances for embarrassments.
Last but not least, be a responsible blogger. Be an ethical blogger. Be a blogger with dignity and self-respect.
Frankly speaking, it is NOT worth losing your reputation, self-respect, work, girlfriend / boyfriend, etc. over a blog!!!
