I have spent five years marketing web sites for small, medium and large companies. I can tell you candidly that it is not easy to market a site successfully.

Innovative, "out of the box" thinking helps tremendously. It's time for a new web marketing paradigm. You should work closely with a professional web marketing company or consultant as early in the development process as possible. Try to make this person an integral part of the development team.

You will reap big rewards with this type of thinking. The site will be optimized for search engines, download fast and maintain just the right balance of relevant content and attractive design principles.

Web marketing services must be applied strategically and comprehensively. Search engines are inundated with submissions at a record pace. As a result, the chances of achieving and maintaining a high search engine ranking are becoming increasingly difficult.

Web site optimization for search engines has become a major industry on the Web, with companies starting up that guarantee high positioning. The fallacy is that high search engine rankings can be achieved, but not consistently. Search engine algorithms are changed periodically to avoid spamming the index and the best a company can expect is to achieve a relatively high, but not top, position.
