Definition of Webmaster:
Webmaster n. person who manages a web; mediator between web authors and
system administrator - ensures that applicable standards such as HTML
validity and link liveness are met, optimises the web architecture for
navigability, takes editorial responsibility for the content, quality and
style of the site; finds, creates and installs tools to create web content
and check consistency; develops and enforces the house style; liaises with
graphic artists; provides first level user support.
The person who does the designing and programming of a website. Most of the time,
the person is in-charge of a team of professionals behind the creation of a website,
including graphic designers and programmers.
Definition of Executive Webmaster:
The Executive overall in-charge of the Internet Marketing activities of a company.
This Executive works hand-in-hand with the Webmaster, and the head of the Marketing
department, to study, analyse, plan and implement suitable strategies to produce the
best results for specific objectives, through the internet.

Q1: What is the diferrent between Internet Marketing and traditional Marketing?
- The overall scope and speed at which Internet Marketing can reach its targetted markets is much faster and the results produced is more "measurable".
- There is no barrier in cyber marketing. No barrier in the sense that you can reach almost anywhere in the whole and everyone in the world. Yes, when we come to cybermarketing, the pool of target markets is greatly widen.
Q2: How to ensure the effectiveness and success of Internet Marketing?
For Internet Marketing to be effective, good efforts in promotions must be targetted at suitable markets. You
must "be at the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing on the internet." And of course, the
website has to be reasonably attractive (without being full of graphics that take ages to download) to make
viewers interested in the products that are featured there. But the product itself must be of the interest of the
viewers as well. So getting the right people to visit the right site is very important.

A beautiful/fancy website = Good Internet Marketing.
A good website is only ONE part of internet marketing. What's the point of having a beautifully renovated
showroom ... when nobody even knows it existed!!! Which is why many beautiful and fancy websites have
failed terribly!!!

In a general analysis of the failures of many websites (all over the
world), including some quite well-established ones, the most
important factors seems to be: Putting the overall responsibility of
internet marketing in the hands of the wrong person - the
Webmaster. Many webmasters are more of a progammer or website
designer than a marketing specialist.
Of course, a successful website must have a webmaster that is
good in website designing and programming. But, website design is
only one part of the overall Internet Marketing. An Executive
Webmaster that is well-trained and experienced in Marketing, must
be put in charge of a team of Internet Marketing Specialists that constantly study, analyse and implement
suitable measures and strategies to keep a company's cybermarketing efforts up-to-date and EFFECTIVE.

The overall cybermarketing effort must start with a good Public Relations campaign to build faith in the
company. One of the most important factors that contribute towards brand loyalty on the internet is: faith in
the company.
